Porsche Cajun SUV to be Released in Late 2013

Porsche has confirmed the release period for the Cajun, its latest and smallest SUV. Buyers can expect the Cajun in dealerships sometime in late 2013. The announcement coincides with Porsche’s recently-announced plans to expand its production facility in Leipzig, Germany, which currently produces the Porsche Cayenne and Panamera. Both models will be joined by the Cajun.

“We are investing another 500 million euro [$684.9 million] in the production facility to build the Cajun in Leipzig. This is not just a mark of confidence in the manufacturing skills of our Leipzig colleagues, but also an important contribution to the economic development of the region,” said Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Board of Management.

The addition of the Cajun to the plant will add 1,000 jobs.
