Originally revealed with the Kubang name, Maserati’s upcoming SUV may end-up switching its name to “Cinqueporte,” which in Italian means “five doors” (hey, don’t SUVs have five doors?). The Italian automaker recently registered the “Cinqueporte” name, which may very well be the official name of he production version of its first-ever SUV.
As a reminder, the Maserati SUV, whatever it ends up being called, will share a platform with the well-received Jeep Grand Cherokee. But in addition to having a unique exterior and — likely — interior style, it will be powered by engines sourced from Ferrari.
