Chevrolet Sonic and Cruze Dusk Concepts at SEMA 2011

Chevrolet Cruze Dusk Concept

Now here are two very attractive Chevrolet sedans: the Chevrolet Sonic and Cruze Dusk Concepts, which were unvieled at the 2011 SEMA Show. Given the nature of the show, these Chevys have been touched-up.

Touched-up elegantly, that is. Both the Sonic and Cruze Dusk concepts feature a Berlin Blue exterior, a grille treatment, headlamps with blue shades, a mild ground effects package and 18-inch concept wheels in dark Galvano Silver. Open their doors and you’ll find a Mojave leather finish with custom seat inserts, suede-trimmed, a Z-Spec shift knob with satin chrome trim, Z-Spec sport pedals and accessory interior trim kit. A flat-bottom steering wheel and custom audio system help round-off the package. Mechanical upgrades include Brembo brakes and suspension tuning.

As a reminder, the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic has a starting price of $14,495 and comes in both hatchback and sedan variants. It is powered by a standard 1.8L DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 135-horspower and 125 lb-ft of torque. There is an optional 138-hp 1.4L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine. The 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, on the other hand, has a starting price of $16,995 and is powered by a standard 136-HP 1.8L 4-cylinder engine, while the Eco, LT and LTZ trim levels have a 1.4L turbo 4-cylinder Ecotec engine producing 138-hp and 148 lb-ft of torque.

GM hasn’t announced whether the Sonic and Cruze Dusk Concepts will be produced.
