Hyundai has just confirmed that a two-door coupe version of the Elantra is in the works. Set to go up against the likes of the Honda Civic Coupe and even the familial Kia Forte Coupe, the Elantra coupe will be unveiled at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.
According to Autoblog, the Elantra Coupe looks much like your regular four-door Elantra but with only two doors. To set it further apart from its sedan counterpart, the coupe will be sportier. This improved athleticism will be reflected in its own unique SE trim level, a sporty trim.
Hyundai expects the Elantra coupe to make up 20 percent of the Elantra’s sales volume.
