The all-new 2012 Kia Cee’d hatchback has been revealed ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
Based on the same platform as the Hyundai i30, the new Cee’d has its own distinctive look that doesn’t try too hard to be striking, but manages to do so regardless. Kia’s new design language, as showcased on the latest Kia Optima, has a lot to do with that. The hatchback is wider and lower than the i30, giving it a more athletic and masculine look. The interior is also reminiscent of the Optima’s interior and offers a more premium look and feel.
Kia has yet to release technical details on the new Cee’d, but we can expect the same 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter diesel and gasoline units used in the i30.
