Motor Trend’s new Epic Drive Series has been turning up the heat as of late. Its latest video takes a page from Top Gear — the British version and not the less spectacular American version. In it, the publication’s Editor At Large Angus MacKenzie and Justin Bell, a GT2 Class winner, take a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 from Munich, Germany to Maranello, Italy. Along the way, they push the ZR1 to the limits, taking the American supercar all the way up to 200 mph (321 km/h) on the Autobahn before hitting the insanely curvy Stelvio Pass on their way to Italy, where thy drive the Ferrari 458 Italia.
Sure the production quality isn’t up to par with Top Gear — what, with its special effects and impeccable camera angles — but this Epic Drive is nevertheless entertaining to watch. Check it out.
