The Honda Concept S was the second concept vehicle to be unveiled by Honda at Beijing’s Auto China 2012. Like the Concept C, the Concept S is designed for China. Unlike the Concept S, it features a hybrid powertrain. The “S” stands for “Stylish,” “Smart” and “Surprise.”
The Honda Concept S hybrid is said to realize “both the ‘fun of driving’ and excellent environmental performance at the same time.” It features a spacious cabin that takes advantage of the Japanese automaker’s packaging technologies (see the Honda Fit).
A production version of the MPV-like vehicle will first go on sale in China in 2013, followed by a global launch.
