After creating the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, famed Italian studio Zagato turned its attention to the BMW Z4. The ensuing product, the Z4 Zagato Coupe, looks sharp, thanks in large part to the heavy infusion of traditional Zagato styling traits.
While the interior of the Z4 Zagato remains largely unchanged from the stock Z4, its exterior benefits from some major design touches. Key features include a long hood and Zagato’s trademark double bubble roof and Kamm Tail. The distinctive rear end has a transparent panel and incorporates a rear diffuser and a dual exhaust system. 19-inch alloy wheels and an exclusive Rosso Vivace red paint finish help drive its bold design statement home.
The Z4 Zagato is not all about looks, however. In addition to packing a “high-performance engine”, details of which will be provided later, it has been aerodynamically optimized to be driven at high speeds.
“Zagato has always provided its customers with ready-to-drive cars which can be sent into action on the road or race track without further ado – and the BMW Zagato Coupé fits the same template,” says Dr Andrea Zagato.
