What’s the Japanese word for victory? Yusho! Debuting at the 2012 Leipzig Motor Show in Germany, the Mazda MX-5 Yusho Concept is yet another reminder of how successful the little sports convertible has been over the decades.
The Yusho is powered by a supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that, thanks to the addition of Cosworth pistons, connecting rods and sports exhaust system, makes 237-hp (241 PS) at 6,800 rpm and 202 lb-ft (274 Nm) of torque at 5,400rpm, allowing for a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h). An updated suspension system with Bilstein absorbers, larger stabilizer bars and lowering springs from Eibach add to the sports car’s improved driving dynamics.
Key exterior and interior features include a matte white exterior with a carbon fiber diffuser, 17-inch alloy wheels, Recaro sport seats and a suede-wrapped steering wheel.
