To keep up with the Nissan GT-R, Chevy will give its 2010 Corvettes a launch control system that will definitely make them faster on the drag-strip. This system will be available for the entire range of manual transmission Corvettes. The best news is that, unlike with the GT-R, it won’t void your warranty.

So how will this launch control work? You put the Corvette into competitive mode and when you put the throttle to the floor, it’ll hit a predetermined RPM level instead of redlining. Release the clutch, and off you go. Chevy claims that just about any driver can achieve a consistent launch time with this new system.
