After unveiling a concept of the new crossover at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, Nissan has revealed the production version of the 2013 Pathfinder. And guess what, it looks virtually identical to the concept. Why these automakers insist on calling these production-ready cars “concepts” is beyond me.
The 2013 Pathfinder ditches the body-on frame architecture of the old model for a unibody construction, making it less of an SUV and more like a crossover. Buyers can expect more car-like handling.
Given that the crossover is based on the same platform as the Infinit JX, we can expect it to have the same 3.5-liter V6 making 265-hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
