The April numbers are in and Ford is the center of attention….once again? According to reports, Ford outsold Toyota for the month, selling 133,979 vehicles. Remember, folks, April fools is over, so this is no joke. Ford’s sales dropped by 32% while Toyota’s sales dropped by 42%. Ford thanks the success of its Fusion mid-size sedan for these numbers.

General Motors also has a small win itself – the company’s sales dropped by 34% for the month, better than analysts expected. Chrysler wasn’t as fortunate – company sales dropped by 48%.

I can’t believe our car makers are beating out the Japanese carmakers with this economy. It really shows this recession is coming to an end. I just hope our guys in Detroit can keep their jobs through all of the government intervention. If the economy keeps coming back like this, I will feel better about our finances again, and maybe I'll buy that Spyder paintball gun I’ve had my eye on.
