The first official pictures of the all-new 2013 Honda Accord sedan have been released, and we have it here for you. Not that it’s a surprise, but the car doesn’t stray too far away from the Accord Coupe Concept that was unveiled at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, although it is a bit more conservative.
Key exterior highlights include a bold new grille, a hood with multiple styling lines, strong side character line that flows through the door handles and flares upward toward the rear of the vehicle, and an inward slope where the fenders taper into the trunk and C-pillars.
Although the new Accord is “bigger on the inside and smaller on the outside,” it actually looks more conservative than the current model, at least to our eyes. This is not to say it’s not a good-looking car. It is.
The 2013 Honda Accord will initially be offered with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a CVT or a six-speed manual transmission, followed soon by a 3.5-liter V6 connected to a six-speed manual or automatic. A plug-in hybrid model will also be offered.
