It sure is a good time to be an American, assuming you still have plenty of disposable income. If that’s the case, then buying a car should be as easy as 1 2 3. Most of them are cheap. If you’re an existing Chrysler customer, then affording a car is just about to get easier. According to the Wall Street Journal, Chrysler will be sending all of its existing customers a check for $1,000 to be used towards the purchasing one of its new vehicles

The checks will be sent through the mail to more than nine million owners of Chrysler vehicles and can be used toward the purchase of any Chrysler models. The program is effective starting now to June 30.

Like all cash incentives, this one mainly intended to boost sales for the Auburn Hill automaker. It is also intended to help some of the 789 dealers that Chrysler plans to drop by June 9 shed their inventories. These dealers have to either sell their inventory of new vehicles to customers or to surviving dealers.

On top of the huge incentives already being offered by Chrysler, the extra $1000 could help go a long way to move Chrysler cars of the lot.
