As many of you know, General Motors is big in China. So it’s no surprise that the American automaker would put on a big show for the Chinese launch of its phenomenal Cadillac CT-V. Imitating World War 2’s D-Day, GM is calling this launch day V-Day.
Around 19,000 fans gathered at the F1 circuit in Shangia to witness the launch. As a treat, a team of Hollywood professional stunt drivers in their Cadillacs (CTS-V and normal CTS) put on an incredible show that words cannot explain (you’ll have to watch the video). The crowd was wowed and so was I. I mean who wouldn’t be? Spiderman was part of a stunt!
On another note, chief engineer John Heinricy — you know, the guy that earned the Cadillac CTS-V the title for fastest production sedan around the Nurbergring — once again set a production sedan lap record, but this time on Shanghai’s F1 circuit. In clocked in 2:32.80 seconds.
I have a soft spot the latest Cadillac CTS, so when I saw the stunts, and how much more awesome they made the CTS look, my jaw dropped. But enough with my babbling – check out the video of this exciting event after the jump…
