Jake Bronstein Ford Fiesta Auto Tribute

Ford’s Fiesta Movement program has already began, and some lucky 100 individuals have all received their Euro-spec Fiestas. But as if to start the program with a bang, one of the winning candidates, Jake Bronstein, reported a few days into the program that his Fiesta had been stolen. Scott Monty, head of social media at Ford, said the stolen “hot magenta” Fiesta was equipped with a GPS homing device, and it was by tracking this device that Ford was able to locate (but not find) the missing hatchback somewhere in the DC area.

According to Monty in a twitter feed, the condition and whereabouts of the suspect unknown and that “the car hasn’t been physically found yet.”

With an indecent like this, no one would blame you for feeling a bit suspicious. That Jake guy does look like an interesting character. Guess what he does for fun with his new Fiesta? Climbing on his car because it’s almost as fun as climbing in it. According to him, he does this probably because he doesn’t own the car. For that same reason, he invites people to stand on the hood while taking pictures.

Like many of you, I’m wondering what Ford thinks about this guy’s antics. Either it is regreting lending the Fiesta to him or it is rejoicing over the all the publicity its hot little hatchback is receiving. Let’s just say that for some “unexplained” reason, I go with the former reaction. But we’ll have to wait to see how things develop.
