Peugeot was first established in eastern France in 1810 by brothers Jean-Pierre and Jean-Frédérice as a manufacturer of industrial products, from simple saw blades to coffee grinders. Today, the French manufacturer has become one of the most well known and respected names in the automobile industry. Last week, it revealed an evolution of its lion logo, along with a new tag line, “Motion & Emotion”.
Peugeot`s logos have more simple over the years, mainly because simpler logos are less costly to produce. Compared to the current logo (pictured left), is the new logo an improvement? I think this is one of those cases where neither version, old or new, is better or worse. In fact, most of the decade old logos ooze more class and elegance. Why not let us know what you think.
