Some people have too much time and money on their hands. But sometimes some of these people could be cool. After making his childhood dream of owning a jet-powered pickup come true, Chris Lentz is one of these cool people. He purchased a turbojet engine from a pilot he met from New York for $10,000 and later bought a 2005 Ford F-150 STX on eBay for $12,000. He then fitted the Motorlet M-701 turbojet engine into the pickup to produce one awesome vehicle.
As for the specs, the Jet F-150 weights 6221 pounds, produces 1962-lbs of thrust with its turbo jets, accelerates from 0 to 60 in 8.5 seconds, finishes the quarter mile in 16.3 seconds at 103 mph and reaches a top speed of 140 mph. Considering this was made my one man with a big dream and too much time on his hands, these are impressive numbers.
