When Roll-Royce released some details on its upcoming Ghost ultra-luxurious executive sedan, it omitted some important information. Today, the British automaker released the performance specs and sales details on its new car.
The Ghost will be powered by a 6.6L turbocharged V12 engine that produces 563-hp and 575 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox. This setup launches the Ghost from 0 to 60mph in just 4.7 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
Rolls-Royce also confirmed that UK and European sales of the Ghost will start in late 2009. Prices will start from £165,000 ($271,426 USD). Sales in North America and Asia Pacific will start in the second quarter of 2010. More details will be released in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
