With a ‘Car of the year’ title under its belt, the Hyundai Genesis has been announced the winner of J.D. Power’s 2009 Vehicle Launch Index study. The study grades automakers on their ability to hit sale, price and profit targets with newly launched models.

The 2009 Hyundai Genesis scored 689 points (out of a possible 1,000), followed by the 2009 Ford F-150(673) and the 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan (663). The 2009 Toyota Matrix did the worse, scoring just 439 points. The Dodge Ram, Pontiac Vibe, and Dodge Journey also scored poorly.

The Hyundai Genesis keeps on proving that it’s a winner in every sense of the word.
