At the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), HARMAN International Industries, a leader in connected technologies, debuted its latest Car Audio innovations in response to the increasing demand of car buyers for more advanced in-car technologies that integrate effortlessly into their lives. It wasn’t the only company to do so.
This demand is being compounded as self-driving cars quickly move from concept to reality, and many companies (not just car manufacturers) around the world see it as an opportunity to leverage premium audio solutions to reimagine the way consumers interact with their vehicles, all in an effort to attract the next generation of drivers.
HARMAN’s SUMMIT Next smart audio and Voyager Next solutions, for instance, draw on technologies across the company’s various divisions to push the boundaries further and spearhead the evolution of car interiors. They are designed with an emphasis on delivering intelligent, personalized and connected in-car experiences.
Michael Mauser, President, Lifestyle Audio for HARMAN, stated:
“We are currently at an inflection point within the auto industry, where the passenger experience is becoming just as important to consumers as speed and performance. The availability of autonomous features is reinventing the way people spend time in their car.”
As vehicles become increasingly more autonomous, passengers will have more time to indulge in and scrutinize the finer things in life, especially as they pertain to the vehicle they’re riding in. I mean, is there anyone out there who doesn’t like great-sounding audio in their car?
How do you like your audio?
