What do the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia have in common? Well, aside from all of them being 7-passenger crossovers, they are essentially the same vehicles underneath. They all share GM’s Lambda platform. But where’s Cadillac’s version?

We reported earlier that a Lambda-based Cadillac crossover was in works. According to GM’s vice president of global engineering, Karl Stracke, the project is still on. But that’s all the info he was willing to share.

With this Cadillac crossover, the Lambda architecture will be the only platform that is shared by all four of GM’s remaining brands. Do you think that GM really needs a fourth Lambda crossover? Lets us know in the comment section.
