GM has provided a us with a preview of what is likely the production version of the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Aveo, which was shown in “concept” form at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. This next-gent Aveo retains the much of the menacing design cues found on the concept, and if we’re lucky, the interior might follow suite. It is both longer and wider than its predecessor, offering a bit more interior room.
GM will offer a range of engines in the Aveo globally, including a 70 horsepower, 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine to a variety of diesel mills and a 115 horsepower 1.6-liter gasoline engine. A four-door sedan variant will launch in Europe alongside the hatch next summer. Both hatch and sedan are practical small cars providing ample interior space.
The 2012 Chevrolet Aveo will debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. More details can be found in the GM’s press release.
