The 2012 Peugeot 508 RXH diesel hybrid has been revealed ahead of its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September. A hybrid, the 508 RXH is powered by Peugeot’s 2.0 l HDi FAP HYbrid4 drivetrain, which combines a 2.0L diesel engine and an electric motor to produce a total of 200 horsepower and 332 lb-ft. of torque.
The hybrid system is mated to a four-wheel-drive system and is capable of traveling on only electric power, although no range figures have been provided. According to Peugeot, the 508 RXH uses less than 4.2 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle (56 miles per gallon U.S.) and emits 109g/km of CO2.
