With Fiat and Chrysler now joined at the hips, there will be a lot of platform sharing between their respective brands. And although it’s pretty much old news that the new Chrysler 300 would become the new Lancia Thema in Europe, we have more pictures and details for you.
The exterior photos reveals that, aside from the Lancia logo, the Thema is identical to the 300. But the brown paint job does make it look very classy. Similarly, the only difference between the two interiors in the higher grade materials used in the Thema. As impressive as the Chrysler 300′s interior is, the Thema has it beat with better textures and a warmer colour scheme.
In Europe, the Thema will be offered in three trim levels: Gold, Platinum and Executive. Three engines will be available, including a 286 horsepower 3.6-liter V6 gas engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and two versions of a 3.0-lite V6 diesels that produce 190-hp and 239 -hp. Both versions are mated to a 5-speed automatic.
Prices will be announced shortly after the Lancia Thema makes its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
