Acura has officially unveiled the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon, which is essentially the European Honda Accord Wagon with an Acura badge and slightly more upscale interior.

The TSX Sport Wagon is powered by the 2.4L four-cylinder mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, the same engine and transmission found in the sedan. It features steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. Although not official, Acura estimates that it will get 30 mpg on the highway.

Unfortunately, Acura has no plans to offer its SH-AWD system in the TSX, so buyers are stuck a with front-wheel-drive layout. Acura also hasn’t stated if the V6 from the sedan will be offered in the wagon.

Honda is yet another automaker to jump on the wagon “band wagon”. The Japanese automaker announced today its plan to introduce the Euro-spec Honda Accord Tourer to North American as the Acura TSX Sports Wagon. It is expected to arrive next fall. I guess Acura didn’t want the sexy Cadillac CTS Sports Wagon to get all the attention. Make the jump for the official word…
